Hello

Rebekah Magin is a social worker, educator, and consultant who partners with schools to build safe, trauma-informed learning environments. Drawing on her experience in social services, higher education, and public schools, she equips educators and students with tools for resilience, regulation, and connection. She is also the author of Nourish: A Daily Reflection Journal for Educators.

Rebekah's Story

Throughout her career, Rebekah has worked at the intersection of trauma theory, learning, and teaching. She has collaborated with Family Court systems, social services, schools, and healthcare organizations to support children and families, and now focuses on helping educators and school administrators navigate the social and emotional dimensions of teaching.

A former faculty member at the Sanctuary Institute, Rebekah led trauma-informed transformation efforts across schools and human service organizations nationwide. She also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling and Community Psychology program at Russell Sage College.

In 2016, she founded Prana Mani, a consulting and training organization dedicated to addressing the impact of trauma on learning, relationships, and school culture. Through professional development and student SEL programs, she helps schools create environments where teachers and students can thrive.

Rebekah holds an M.S.W. from SUNY Albany and a B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY Plattsburgh. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Certified School Social Worker in New York State, and holds a 200-hour certification in Hatha Yoga.

She firmly believes that a child’s school experience can shape the trajectory of their life. Her book, Nourish: A Daily Reflection Journal for Educators, was created in that spirit—to support teachers in rediscovering their own resilience and magic in the classroom.

Rebekah lives in Upstate New York with her family.
